Reconciliation Agent
A finance team was manually matching every incoming payment against outstanding invoices by hand. We built an agent that reads live bank transactions and reconciles them automatically, flagging only what genuinely needs a human.

The problem
Every payment that landed in the business's bank account had to be manually checked against outstanding invoices, matched, and recorded, one transaction at a time. It's necessary work and it's tedious, repetitive work, which is exactly where mistakes creep in.
The volume of transactions meant this wasn't a once-a-week task, it was a constant drip of small manual matching decisions competing with everything else the finance team needed to get done.
This is real money against real ledgers, so the bar for automating it was higher than a typical workflow: it had to be accurate, auditable, and safe enough to trust with actual financial records, not a demo running on sample data.
What we built
- 01
An agent that reads live bank transactions directly from the business's accounts, rather than working from a periodic export or manual upload.
- 02
Automatic matching logic that checks every credit against outstanding invoices and records the payment once a match is confirmed.
- 03
An exception path that flags anything the agent can't confidently match, routing it to a human for review instead of forcing a guess.
The result
Real bank transactions are now matched against real invoices and recorded automatically, with only genuine exceptions reaching a human. Not a demo: live money, live ledgers, reconciled daily.
